Redwoods National Park, CA
I have been fortunate enough to be able to see the giant coastal redwoods twice in my life. The first time was in 2005 at Muir Woods near San Francisco. The second time was in 2017 during my visit to the Oregon coast. 12 years later, with lots more experience and much better cameras I was able to capture what I really saw in the forest.
The day was perfect for forest shooting, sunny but foggy. Which helped create a nice misty atmosphere for the shot. After driving from Medford, OR to Crescent City, CA (down the "Redwood Highway") this was one of the first places I stopped to take a hike.
I felt this place really spoke to me with the ancient trees, new saplings and underbrush teeming with life. The forest was so quiet and peaceful. I hope you get the same feeling I did when I was there.
